Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box is delivered to the outside provider that operates the tool. Campbell County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain necessary correspondence. It is not disclosed outside the organization unless a valid legal duty requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics logs may capture an IP address, browser and version, operating system, device type, referring page, viewed pages, visit duration, and timestamps.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics help measure traffic, page performance, and how visitors move through the site. Browser controls can reject cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate, secure, and improve site performance
- Send a search query to the selected partner service
- Diagnose errors and understand aggregate use
- Display and measure advertising
No Criminal-Record Data on File
This website does not maintain or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general instructions for reaching Campbell County courts, police departments, the detention center, Kentucky State Police, the Kentucky Court of Justice, Kentucky Department of Corrections, and Kentucky Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside providers run the search tools. Their privacy policies govern information entered into those tools, including retention and sharing. Review the provider’s terms before submitting a query because Campbell County Criminal History does not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Kentucky agencies, Campbell County offices, courts, legal resources, advertisers, and search providers. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s policy controls. Advertising services may also use their own technology to measure activity across websites.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be processed by analytics and advertising vendors, by the partner handling a requested search, or by a government body acting under a valid legal order.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so absolute protection cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Data known to have been submitted by a minor will be removed when identified.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Kentucky consumer-protection law, including the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act, KRS Chapter 367, and other law may provide rights concerning personal information. Subject to legal limits, a person may ask what information is held, request correction or deletion, or object to certain processing.
